Can you imagine being at work and looking up to see a sweet stray dog staring at you through a set of glass doors? You may be slightly startled at first, but of course, you’d want to run outside to say hello and help him try to find his family.
But what would you do if no one came forward to claim him, nor was anyone willing to foster him?
It was in the midst of their workday when a woman named Kristin and her coworkers had a surprise visitor show up outside. They spotted a dog staring in at them through the glass doors. The mighty Mastiff seemed to materialize out of nowhere, and no one knew where he had come from or to whom he may belong.
So they took his picture and posted it all over their local lost and found pages, hoping to help him find his way back home.
At the end of their workday, the group decided to leave the dog (later named Hoss) there overnight, just in case someone came looking for him. When they returned in the morning, the pooch crawled out from underneath one of their work trailers.
Hoss gave them a great big greeting and was obviously ecstatic they had returned.
But after all their posting, and despite him being super sweet and friendly, nobody came forward to claim the dog. Nor were there any offers for a foster home. So since they didn’t want to leave him there over the weekend, Kristin stepped up and took the big, friendly dog home with her.
It wasn’t long after they arrived that Kristin realized it was probably Hoss’ first time indoors. The tile floors scared him, and he was nervous about many new things. But it didn’t take long before Kristin’s dogs showed him the ropes. The moment his paws felt the grass in their backyard, he sprang into action and was eager to play with each of his foster family members.
Then, about a month later, Bullmastiff Rescuers set up a wonderful adoption for him. Hoss found a fabulous forever home in New Jersey. His new, furry sibling was once a nervous pup, just like Hoss. But with Hoss on the scene, Bunker is happier and more confident than ever.
Hoss went from a frightened newbie to helping his new furry sibling step out of their shell!
